Line Up;
Ben Pope
Ben Pope is a comedian, writer, actor and musician who has recently graduated from Cambridge University where he was President of the Cambridge Footlights (2013-14). Over the last two years he has written and performed acclaimed sketch shows in Cambridge (Footlights Spring Revue: The History of Everything), Durham, Oxford, Edinburgh (Dressing Down, Gilded Balloon 2013) and in Germany and America with the Footlights International Tour Show 2014: Real Feelings. He gigs regularly as a stand-up comedian in London, the south and the Edinburgh Fringe (Free Footlights, The Dram House 2013) and performed his debut hour Cheese (And Other Things There Are) at the ADC Theatre, Cambridge in early 2014. His previous acting roles include Esio Trot (Assembly, Edinburgh 2013), Welcome Break (ADC Theatre, 2014), Footlights Pantomime 2013: The Princess and The Pea (for which he also wrote the book and lyrics, ADC Theatre) and the male lead in the workshop performance of the new musical The Last Post (LTD Productions).
Jon Pearson;
Jon began stand up comedy in 2010, with his first performance at Birmingham’s Highlight Comedy Club. Cut to nine years later and Jon has become a regular face on the circuit, performing at prestigious clubs such as The Glee, The Boat Show, Up The Creek, Last Laugh, Laughterhouse. Jon’s career has even taken him overseas with performances in Spain, Norway and even as far away as Wigan (it is like being on another planet).
Jon is also a familiar face on at comedy festivals across the UK having taken three solo shows to the Leicester, Nottingham & Edinburgh festivals with the highlight of the all coming in the form of a sold out show at his home town Melton Theatre in Melton Mowbray.
Jon has also provided tour support for Darren Harriot on his UK 2018/2019 tour and Lucy Porter on her UK 2017 tour
Jon’s laid back storytelling has audiences hanging on his every word. With tales based around his own life experiences, his anecdotes are relatable and certain to have people in hysterics. Jon is a prefect addition to any line up and can both MC and do a set.
Caroline Mabey
One of the most inventive comic voices in Britain, Caroline Mabey is a fringe and circuit favourite, appearing at festivals, theatres and clubs all around the country. Silly, warm and sharp as hell, she always creates a gag-packed frenzy of fun. She is a brilliant and accomplished MC, having been resident compere at the 99 Club for ten years.
'Mabey is thoroughly enjoyable company…the slightly deranged offspring of a menage a trois between Vic Reeves, Harry Hill and Floella Benjamin'
Evening Standard
'A mischievous, kooky talent'
Time Out
'Fabulous off-the-wall lines...will endure in the memory long after you've forgotten every word from the big-name stand-ups'
Chortle
'No-one has made us laugh as much at this Fringe'
The Skinny
Caroline has recently appeared on Comedy Central as part of their Performance Anxiety campaign, and in Before the Morning After on NBC's Digital Comedy Channel, Seeso. She also features in Josh Howie's Losing It (Series 1 and 2) on BBC Radio 4 and has written for Radio 4's News Quiz.
She has supported Hal Cruttenden on tour and has five solo Edinburgh shows to her name. She is one half of double act the Two Stupids with Michael Legge, and co-hosts the popular Self-Renovators podcast:
