Cola + Blue Bendy at Rough Trade Bristol

A gig held at Rough Trade Bristol on Friday 26th August. The event starts at 20:00.

From the ashes of Ought, a new project Cola rises. Following the break-up of the post-punk outfit last year, Tim Darcy and Ben Stidworthy teamed up with Evan Cartwright, of US Girls and The Weather Station renown.

Together, the trio combines resonant guitar grooves, tight angular rhythms and Darcy’s idiosyncratic wry vocals.

Having debuted the project with their track ‘Blank Curtain’ last autumn, Cola’s upcoming Deep in View will be their first full-length release.

The album sees their precise and adroit musicianship in fine form, conveying danceable art-punk with astute lyrical vignettes and a self-aware charm.
