Kayla Painter is a producer, experimental artist, performer, DJ and radio host.

Painter is well known for her immersive, ever-evolving AV shows, with notable performances at; Glastonbury, The Great Escape, Simple Things, Bluedot, and We Out Here Festivals.

2022 saw Painter’s first UK AV headline tour following her high-profile tour supporting Rival Consoles (Erased Tapes), in line with her EP release ‘Somewhen’, which was celebrated across 6Music throughout the campaign and concluded being named ‘best ambient track of 2021’ Hannah Peel (BBC Radio 3)

Following on from her highly acclaimed single ‘Balloons in the Arcade’ supported heavily on 6Music and dubbed ‘Best New Music of 2022’ by Steve Lamacq, she returns with a new offering ‘Infinite You’. The long awaited, extended EP will be released by Castles in Space digitally and on vinyl.

The last two years Kayla has seen regular support from 6Music DJs, regional promoters and press. Latest supporters include Steve Lamacq, Tom Ravenscroft, Nemone and others across BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing, Radio X, and official playlisting on Amazing Radio.

Following the success of ‘Balloons in the Arcade’, a special edition EP release ‘Planet 9’ was welcomed by fans in August ‘22, selling out immediately. Kayla’s opening track to the latest EP was listed as one three of Hannah Peel’s favourite tracks from 2021 to wind down to, across BBC Radio
3, at the end of 2021.

Kayla has also played an event curated by IDLES– plus select high profile live sets including a show in London’s famed Tate Modern Turbine Hall and her own curated night at Bristol Beacon (feat BABii, Slugabed and others).
“Infinite You" is a statement of intent. Kayla’s biggest release to date, is an exploration in sonic experimentation, electroacoustic composition, blending the real and the surreal.

Kayla will be playing select dates in the UK to celebrate the release, including a launch show, in 3D at Rough Trade, Bristol. The live set will showcase an ever-evolving experimentation and execution of an impressive immersive live audio visual experience, drawing from the visual themes and aesthetics Kayla explores, alternative futures using bold neon colours and uncanny, dreamlike sequences.

"Kayla Painter - another great tune from her" – TOM RAVENSCROFT (BBC 6MUSIC)

Blythe Pepino is a singer, songwriter, pianist and music producer.

She fronts the band Mesadorm – an alt acoustic-electro indie band which has been hailed on BBC Radio 6 and whose debut album was marked as one of the best alternative albums of 2018 by the Guardian. Mesadorm have just released their second album, Pollinator, produced by Pepino. She spends most of her time creating in her studio.

With a lifelong interest in the voice, she is an advocate and teacher for self-healing through vocal resonance. Live and on record her voice is as versatile in emotion as it is in range and tone. Although she has graced stadium size venues and reached major record label prominence, she now covets full creative control over her releases and is more inclined towards intimate performance spaces and the indie music universe. https://eartrumpetmusic.co.uk
