Molly Linen - Artist Bio:
Molly Linen is a Shropshire-born, Glasgow-based songwriter and guitarist. Her beguiling voice is both emotive yet serene recalling the dulcet whispered tones of Cat Power, layered upon melodic guitar lines which draw influence from artist such as Devon Sproule and Nick Drake.
Linen's debut single ‘Away’ (May 2019) was described as “remarkably mature, so beautifully focused, and so frightfully exciting” by influential blog For The Rabbits, and included on several high profile Spotify playlists including NPR’s ‘New Music Friday’ round-up as well as producer Lar Gotrich’s own playlist. At radio, the single was played on BBC 6Music (Gideon Coe) and BBC Radio Scotland (Vic Galloway and Roddy Hart), whilst unreleased tracks from the Outside EP have received additional support from Pete Paphides (Soho Radio) and Cerys Matthews at 6Music.
Molly Linen’s debut EP entitled 'Outside' is a collection of accomplished, atmospheric and
personal songs written in, and inspired by, Linen’s life in rural Shropshire and the West End of
Glasgow where the EP was recorded. As Linen expands “Some of the songs on the Outside EP
reflect on my personal experiences of being out in nature and feeling the many emotional benefits,
whilst others are observations of being in particular environments and noticing small details.”
Clementine March - Artist Bio:
Clementine March recently signed to Lost Map and released her debut album in January - songs from the album have already been aired on 6music etc. Previously, Clementine has toured with Big Thief and played as a band member in Julien Gasc, Snapped Ankles, Dana Gavanski, Alabaster deplume and more. Born in France, and musically trained in Brazil, Londoner Clémentine March writes songs and instrumentals that cross language and genre borders, mashing raw rock sounds, pastoral pop compositions and Brazilian influences with her experience of playing with, to name a few excellent co-conspirators, Snapped Ankles, Julien Gasc, Mega Bog, Pollyanna Valentine, and her own previous band, Water Babies. Clémentine brings a sense of energy and unsettling chordal experimentation to her classical and Latin sensibility, inherited from immersion in the more discordant sounds of alt-rock (Pavement, the Raincoats, Galaxie 500, the Beatles' White Album) and avant-garde jazz (Sun Ra).
