Phoënix is inspired by music and in life by creating more ecstatically alive and embodied states of being, working professionally and curiously with the body in more ways than one. Facilitating and DJing Ecstatic Dance is an extension of that intention.

She carefully crafts her dance journeys to provoke and welcome all the parts of being alive on a somatic level. She has led Ecstatic Dance of many flavours in many locations in the UK and around the world. Expect deep, playful, sexy and primal to be the baseline of all music she plays.

Ecstatic Dance
Ecstatic Dance is a community gathering for people who want to express themselves freely, to connect and to expand together. Enjoy a safe and inspiring space to dance without talking, alcohol and drugs. This is about self expression, freeing your mind and body, and connecting with yourself and those around you. No booze, no shoes and no chit-chat on the dance floor helps us keep it intentional. Amazing music helps us keep it all about dance.

Freeform Movement
Freeform movement means you can move however you please ~ there’s no right or wrong way. The dance floor is a space for you to explore movement and be carried and moved by the music. It’s an opportunity to listen deeper to your bodies, flow with your emotions, connect with others without the need for words, and get elevated from the movement and euphoric release. No matter what your dance experience is or how you are feeling ~ you are welcome just as you are.

Music
Each session we have a different DJ who plays a mixture of musical delights and tempos to activate the dance floor and get us moving in a wide range of ways. Genres include ~ Afro, Tribal, Organic House, Techno, Drum & Bass, UK Funky, Psy Trance, World Bass, 140, EDM, Folktronica, Neo Cumbia, Medicine, Folk and World music; plus many more.
