Our legendary monthly live music series returns with the wonky, nerdy, jazz funk math rock sensation: King Heron! Followed by resident DJ sets to further the sonic vibrations!

Exploding onto the Bristol Nu jazz scene the ever captivating and groove-oriented King Heron placed an emphasis on improvisation, their live performances entrancing the audience with unpredictable yet groove steady patterns.

The group have shared stages with the likes of Oscar Jerome, Mdou Moctar and Lydian Collective, and performed at venues, clubs and arts centres across the UK. As well as being heroled by the likes of:
- Deb Grant (New Music Fix, BBC Radio 6 Music)
- Tony Minvielle (Jazz FM)
- Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Music)
- Adam Crowther (BBC Radio Bristol)


Support comes from a good friend and collaborator with the group, the incredible 30 Circles.

30 Circles is the ethereal and ambient project performed and produced by Dave Colebourn. A fond favourite of VooKoo’s TTJ nights, 30 Circles is a spellbinding act of electronic saxophone wizardry! Through the use of loop pedals and woodwind instruments, Dave builds expansive and mystical soundscapes that sound straight out of cinematic epics.
