A
event
on Saturday 14th September. The event starts at 10:00.
After being saddled with creative blocks for over a decade, frustrations have driven me to the source of one of them; by recreating the last artwork my Mother created, 40 years ago (before she dropped-out of school) Recreated in the same town, with the same paint and the same twin-reflex camera all in order to set the scene to invoke a ghost from the past of a woman I never knew - 10 years before I was born - in the quest of answering some persistent questions.
This is a photography exhibition of photos developed in hotel bathroom's across the country whilst working as an ornamental plasterer.
Personally it's about birth, death, creative blocks, self-esteem, life-on-the-road and volatile organic compound poisoning (VOC's).
This pays respect to Onmyōdō (陰陽道, pr. "on-me-yodo", lit. 'The Way of Yin and Yang') a traditional Japanese esoteric cosmology, a fusion of natural science and occultism, akin to Celtic paganism and witchcraft. Both of which's objectives are to create balance and harmony with society and nature through the mutual respect to each and everyone's 'kami' or animist spirits who inspire and animate us, animals and plants, rivers and mountains, elements and even ideas.
