Knit Repair and Care Workshop

Knit Repair and Care Workshop at Sparks Bristol

An event held at Sparks Bristol on Saturday 21st November. The event starts at 11:00.

The colder months are coming, and it's important to take care of our knitwear to keep us cosy for many seasons to come! In this one-day workshop in Bristol, you'll learn how to mend and darn your knitwear.
We'll also teach you how to look after it and share our best tips to make your items last and give you warmth and comfort for a long time.

You'll learn:

- Multiple darning and mending techniques specific to knitwear

- Best practices and tips to look after your knits

- How to make a little lavender bag for your closet to keep the moths away

This workshop will be great for all sorts of knitwear -- jumpers, cardigans, socks. We'd especially recommend woollen items. Really fine knit will make it more difficult to try some of the repair techniques, so we recommend something at least slightly chunkier.

Bring up to 2 items of knitwear to repair, all other materials provided. This workshop is suitable for beginners

Rethrindle's aim is to make sewing inclusive and accessible to everyone. This is why we try to make our workshops as affordable as possible. A limited number of concession spaces are available for each of our workshops.
If you can, please consider getting a pay-it-forward ticket - every pay-it-forward ticket purchased enables us to offer another concession space for someone who needs it.

Entry requirements: 18+
