Beltane at Springfield Allotments
See event details

A gig on Sunday 5th May. The event starts at 19:30.

Come and wander with us...

as we bring in the May with Beltane celebrations!

It is peak Spring, the Earth has fully awoken, while Summer is just around the corner. It's time to celebrate this fire festival to honour the sun. We will have live music around the fire from 'The Scruffy Pooks', the burning of the wicker man, a short film screening of past May Day celebrations, folktales, open mic, tea and more.

If you want to join in the celebrations we encourage mask wearing or flower crowns.

Open mic: We welcome you to bring a song, poem or thought to share.

Beltane is an ancient festival but this is our own take on celebrating the coming of the summer.

Location: Springfield Allotments.
This is an outdoor event (If we have bad weather we will message you to postpone the event). Dress to stay warm, footwear for any uneven ground and a torch if you have one.
Gates open 7.30pm.
(Sunsets 8.40pm)
