A gig on Saturday 4th July. The event starts at 16:00.
A one-off late afternoon double-bill in the airy vastness of St Ambrose Church in Whitehall.
JOW is the cello & trumpet duo of James Gow & Pete Judge, but on this occasion they’ll be performing short solo sets on their ‘other’ instruments.
James’s tunes for tenor guitar, voice, and other noises are a gloriously unpredictable delight: ambient, playful, touching, witty, and ever dextrous. Look out for his imminent debut album release.
Pete’s solo piano compositions are lyrical miniatures rooted in landscape. He’ll be recording his 4th album over the summer. “A most thought-provoking and deep-feeling composer…he has a real knack for creating stillness and beauty” (BBC Music Magazine)
Original, uncategorisable instrumental music, in a beautiful, light-filled, and generous acoustic space.
