Sober Soul: Sound Meditation & Cacao Dance Party
Featuring Bristol-based DJ Sister Ledge

Ready to unwind, recharge, and dance like no one's watching? Join us for Sober Soul, a welcoming, alcohol-free event that combines the calming power of sound meditation with the heart-opening magic of cacao, all while vibing to the funky, soulful sounds of DJ Sister Ledge.

We’ll start with a grounding sound meditation to help you release tension and get into your flow. Then, we’ll sip on cacao—nature’s gift for energy, focus, and good vibes—before moving into a lively dance session with Sister Ledge on the decks, spinning a smooth blend of funk, soul, disco, and house. Get ready to feel alive, connected, and free as the music guides you through a night of pure joy.

This is a sober event, and everyone is welcome—whether you’re exploring a sober lifestyle or simply looking for a night of fun without alcohol. Come with an open heart, and let’s dance and celebrate together!

What to bring:

Comfortable clothes for dancing
A water bottle to stay hydrated (soft-drinks and teas will be available for purchase)

About the hosts

Tara Sound and Music

Tara has been leading sound meditations in Bristol for the last two years and before that was a memeber of Bristol gyspy-jazz band 'The Rin Tins' for over 10 years. She has used music to create meaningful connections for most of her life through performing and teaching music in various environments including special schools, care homes and in community settings. The move to specifically study the healing power of sounds was a natural step to deepen her understanding of how music and sounds can positively alter ones physical, emotional and spiritual state through deep listening, intention setting and energetic interaction with specific sounds.

DJ Sister Ledge

Sister Ledge has been on the DJ scene for 10 years. Originally from Devon but now residing in Bristol she began playing all vinyl funk, soul and disco floor fillers as half of the duo RatChic. She’s been a regular playing at OMC events, Jam the Channel and is now a resident DJ with the Girl Power Crew, Mr Wolfs and Bar 51 in Stokes Croft.
