Raise the Bar: Open Mic at St. George's Bristol

A event on Wednesday 28th July. The event starts at 19:00.

Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm (including interval) | Price: £3 (+ optional donation)
Venue: St. George's Bristol (Garden) | Great George St, Bristol BS1 5RR

Raise the Bar presents an evening of open mic, as part of St. George's Bristol's Garden Sessions.

Whether you are a poet or musician wanting to share some new work, or you're just wanting to sit back with some cafe snacks and beverages to enjoy Bristol's local talent, this is the evening for you.

To sign up for the open mic, you must buy an 'Open Mic Ticket'.

The event will feature a set from Bristol based poet Stephen Lightbown, who has just released his fabulous new poetry collection The Last Custodian. Stephen Lightbown is a poet based in the UK. He writes extensively but not exclusively about life as a wheelchair user. He can be found on social media at @spokeandpencil and his website is www.stephenlightbown.com.

There are just 40 seats available to be booked. This is so that the event can be moved to the indoor cafe in the event of rain. If the weather forecast is good leading into the event, an additional 10 tickets will be released.

You will not need to wear a mask for this event, but please practice social distancing where possible. When going indoors to order from the cafe or use the toilet, you will need to wear a mask.
