Roberto Fonseca
A gig held at St George's Bristol on Saturday 23rd April. The event starts at 19:30.
We're really pleased to confirm the re-scheduled show at St George's Bristol on Saturday 23rd April 2022 (originally Fiddlers 2020).
Trio Performance
Fonseca had already released three albums when in early 2000s he joined legendary Buena Vista Social Club touring with legends such as Omara Portuondo. He has since continued to expand his solo repertoire with Grammy Nominated Yo, ABUC, and an acclaimed live collaboration with Fatoumata Diawara.
He latest album Yesun released in 2019 'presents a Cuba without borders' says Fonseca. 'I'm building bridges between my Afro-Cuban traditions and other styles of music and doing some of the crazy things I love doing live.' 'I'm bringing in ideas I've absorbed over many years of touring the world. I'm taking Cuban music forward.'
