Boci at St George's Bristol
See event details

A gig held at St George's Bristol on Saturday 3rd May. The event starts at 20:30.

boci is a Bradford-born, Bristol-based violinist & songwriter, known for her pure voice & ability to craft ethereal alt-folk soundscapes through live looping.

Her use of violin loops, synths & effects pedals allows her to create cinematic, layers of sound that build into full band arrangements.

Classically trained boci uses her violin freely & expressively as another voice, taking inspiration from folk playing styles, book’s music is deeply connected to her relationship with the natural world. Infused by time spent walking in the mountains of Scotland, Wales & the Lake District.

boci’s debut album ‘we are each other, this will set us free’ received universal acclaim, & two sell-out UK tours.

“Restorative, contemplative & transcendental” **** Songlines

She returns with dreamlike album ‘scenes from uniXia’. Recorded with producer Rob Pemberton (The Staves), the album features contributions from some of Bristol’s finest musicians, including t l k, Emmy the Harp and Archie Churchill-Moss.
