A
clubnight
held at Strange Brew
on Friday 12th May. The event starts at 22:30.
Following on from possibly our most memorable party to date, we're back at Brew for some high energy techno, bass & rave sonics from two of our favourite US artists, both on a Bristol debut!
Sha Ru (Kintergarten Records / Pressure Dome / Woozy)
Sister Zo (3024 / Scuffed)
w/ support from Nate Ka$h
Sha Ru
This New York based due have been bringing the energy with sets across the US and Europe showcasing their talents as DJ's and with hybrid live performances.
Their label Kindergarten Records releases some of the beefiest, heavy hitting techno bass crossover from some of NY's finest up and coming artist including Ayesha, Despina, Drummy and of course their own productions featuring Ma Sha's ice cold vocal cuts alongside superbly crafted bass heavy rhythms. Their Lot Radio show is a must listen. Often with huge b2b's from the label roster; the liveliness in the booth is palpable.
We've been wanting to get them over since their release on our first international comp and honestly can't wait to experience the unique, powerful performance from this incredible duo.
Sister Zo
Our ears fully pricked up with Sister Zo's first release on Scuffed at the start of last year with it's incredible drum programming with basslines determined to tear up any dance floor. She has since followed up with another incredible EP on Martyn's world renowned 3024 label and doesn't show signs of slowing down with another release forthcoming on All Centre.
Alongside her production prowess, she has also been in the mix for the highly respected Illian Tape podcast and smashed out mega sets in Berlin's favourite Bathroon; HÖR and on her Boiler Room debut a few months ago. She's also featured on some immense line-ups over the past could of years alongside the likes of Objekt, CCL, Pangaea, DJ Swisha, Kush Jones +++
We couldn't be more excited to welcome Zo to Bristol for her debut in the city.
Support on this one from local up and comer Nate Ca$h who's been popping up on Noods and line-ups across the city increasingly regularly since completing the Saffron & Noods Radio Broadcasting Course last year. She's certain to get things toasted up right in the back room, ready for the bass onslaught!!!
