Whilst he never became a household name as a solo artist throughout the 80s-90s, Wally began garnering a higher profile in the 00s-10s thanks to the explosion of diggers culture, with many tastemaker DJs and record labels shining a light on his incredible work which has stood the test of time remarkably well. Tracks like 'Hi-Life', 'Chief Inspector' & 'Endless Race' are now all staples of many discerning record collections and widely regarded as timeless masterpieces. Elsewhere, his productions have spanned Afro, Reggae, Balearic, Disco, Funk, & even New Age. Many Bristolians will recognise his 1984 classic 'Mambo', which was sampled heavily by Massive Attack seven years later in their renowned track 'Daydreaming' (1991).
