"Digi dembow dancehall heaters from two proper fuego London party-starters. Lil C’s Pum Pum Power Hour’s been the rudest thing on NTS since 2019 + Felix Hall’s Chrome label unleashed Now Thing 2 on the world, enough said! Dancing shoes mandatory - come throw your lowest shapes."

A
clubnight
held at Strange Brew
on Friday 24th March. The event starts at 22:30.
Hosted by Livity Sound affiliate and Counterslip Head Huncho - Cando, the Counterslip dance returns to Strange Brew with a triple-stacked bill that pays homage to dancehall and the heritage of soundsystem culture whilst keeping its gaze fixed on the horizon. Limber up and dress to sweat - this one’s going to get loose…
Felix Hall
Felix Hall has firmly established himself as one of the UK’s most exciting selectors. Effortlessly threading together digi dancehall, dembow and hip shaking 4/4 jams, Felix’s DJing demonstrates a profound sense of knowledge and reverence for the respective genres that he represents, informed by a stint living in Medellin and years spent paying his dues in London’s reggae and dub circles. In recent years, Felix has also tried his hand at curation (with equal success), putting together the future classic “Now Thing 2” compilation and running the beloved Chrome label.
Lil C
Alongside him is South London based party starter Lil C. The host of the legendary “Pum Pum Power Hour” show on NTS and part of the hotly tipped Prestige Pak crew, her sets are a jubilant mix of dancehall, reggaeton and sleazy pop edits capable of coaxing even the most reluctant of dancers to bruk out.
Jackson Worm
Completing the bill is Jackson Worm. Part of the acclaimed Worm Disco outfit (responsible for curating the Wormhole Stage at Glastonbury) and the percussionist for jazz six-piece Dundundun, he’s a consummate digger with a bag that’s brimming with vintage dancehall.
