Effigy presents Exploring Birdsong plus special guests Friday 25th September 2026 19:00 - 22:00 Exploring Birdsong is a Liverpool-based progressive rock trio known for its piano-led, genre-blending sound that incorporates pop, rock, and sometimes heavy or unconventional elements. The band features Lynsey Ward on vocals and piano, Jonny Knight on bass and second keyboards, and Matt Harrison on drums and percussion. Their music is characterized by its emotional depth, dynamic range from powerful and heavy to delicate and tender, and frontwoman Lynsey Ward's captivating vocals. Exploring Birdsong are stepping into a new era with their stunning new single, ‘Romanticise’, out today! The alt-pop trio showcase a richer and more expansive element to their newest effort - a mature evolution from the organic rawness of their piano-led roots. Despite the shift in sound, the three-piece hasn’t sacrificed any of the emotional intimacy or genre-blending beauty that sets them apart. Catching the ears of fans worldwide, Exploring Birdsong will perform two headline shows at London’s famed St Pancras Old Church in November 2025 - gigs which sold out in a matter of minutes. The dates follow the trio’s 2024 headlines in Manchester & London, also both sold out. Previously the band has supported Sleep Token and Katatonia, as well as a main stage appearance at Radar Festival. Tickets sold by Strange Brew on behalf of the promoter, Effigy. All ticket revenue belongs to the promoter.

Entry requirements: 14+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
