"Wetware’s patented AV future shock makes a welcome return to the Strange Brew mainframe with the live enchantments of dub-damaged Bristol powerforce SUM (ft. Grove, t l k, Biped +more) + Storm Neech’s ethereal Oneohtrix vaportrails. And, of course, some of the most stunning visual netherworlds you’ll see this side of 2050 from Aevi, Henry Rolls and Tikoda – no VR goggles needed (for now)."

A
gig
held at Strange Brew
on Thursday 12th February. The event starts at 19:00.
Back for our first event of 2026! Returning to our spiritual home, Strange Brew, for an evening of live audio visual performances. Bean bags and seats at the ready, so get comfy, lean back, and zone in to the visuals and performers on stage.
Topping the bill are newly formed group, SUM. Bringing together Grove, t l k, BIPED, EJ:AKIN and O’Lenahan, they weave through layers of dubbed-out ambience, crunched drum machines and righteously charged vocals. Can we call them a supergroup? Joining them on visuals is Bristol based visual artist Aevi. A regular fixture at WetWare Aevi brings their blend of hyper-detailed fluid textures, clouds of colour and generated pseudo-ancient symbols. Fed through a blend of analog video processing units to grit, meld and mesh them together.
Up next is Storm Neech. A relative newcomer to WetWare and the Bristol gig scene, we’re big fans of their recent releases - big distorted textures deftly paired with acoustic instruments in nimble electroacoustic compositions. FFO: Aho Ssan, KMRU, Tim Hecker. On visuals is Henry Rolls, a Bristol based visual artist with a focus on film collage. Close cropped clips shift and meld at near kaleidoscopic angles, hypnotic in their frenetic motion.
Line-up:
-> SUM + Aevi
-> Storm Neech + Henry Rolls
-> Myr + Tikoda
