A gig on Thursday 18th December. The event starts at 18:00.

Arc Radio closes the year with a special broadcast night and fundraiser for Majazz Project / the Palestinian Sound Archive — a project committed to preserving and amplifying Palestinian audio history.

Founded by Mo’min Swaitat in 2019, the Palestinian Sound Archive works across multiple mediums: re-releasing music and sound recordings in physical and digital formats, alongside club nights, radio sets, audio-visual installations, live performances and storytelling sessions. Over five years of building the archive, the mission has expanded beyond safeguarding recordings alone — to protecting the extraordinary histories of the musicians who made them. These lived experiences form part of a broader Palestinian story shaped by displacement, censorship, exile, persecution, arrests, and major political moments including the First and Second Intifadas.

The Archive is supported by a wider network of freelance visual and sound artists, musicians, DJs, curators, organisers and researchers. Their work frames archival practice as a decolonial methodology and act of resistance — preserving sounds and images that document heritage, culture, celebration, dance and survival.

This event sits naturally within Arc Radio’s values: community-led culture, independent platforms, and the belief that sound can protect memory, connect people across borders, and push back against erasure. We’ll begin with a Majazz Project guest session, then 2 Tough Bastards and Ship Shape FM take over hosting duties for a year-end special featuring guests, takeovers and surprises from the Arc Radio family.

Come for the music, stay for the stories, and if you can, donate to support the Archive’s vital work.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
