Kaotik Kartel Presents..
Iceni Roots
Iceni Roots are a reggae/dancehall/jungle fusion band. Originally the Iceni Tribe were a Brittonic tribe of eastern Britain during the Iron Age and early Roman Era. Most of the musicians are either from or currently living in modern homes on Ancient Iceni Territory.
With keyboard and accordion player Ed Cox, of Life4Land together with Clive (Guitar), Melon (Bass) and Richard Leitch (Drums), Iceni Roots are a group of musicians that have worked together and been friends for over 20 years.
This tight rhythm section is complemented by the dynamic vocals of Rivah Jordan, recording artist and veteran of the dancehall and sound system scene.
A horn section, comprised of Spiv playing double saxophone and Ben on trumpet, rounds out the seven-piece live band.
Iceni Roots deliver a unique blend of reggae, dancehall and jungle classics along with their distinctive originals. This is Iceni Roots’ first Bristol show so not one to be missed!
