RAPHAEL - Time Out at The Attic Bar
See event details

A gig held at The Full Moon & Attic Bar on Saturday 16th September. The event starts at 20:30.

RAPHAEL
Born in Savona (Italy) from Nigerian father and Italian mother, this young artist is very close to his African roots. Reggae music is his heartbeat, from the childhood. Since he was a little boy he used to entertain his parents and friends singing Bob Marley songs.
Raphael has moved diligently in the reggae business, collaborating with many international artists including Blackout JA, Kabaka Pyramid, Lutan Fyah, and many more, and has recorded with Friendly Fire Music, Peckings, Bizarri Records, and IrieVibration Records
7 years after the release of the last album "Reggae Survival", the artist comes back with the strength of the experiences gained in this hectic period: the tours with Roy Paci & Aretuska, the participation in the TV Show “The Voice of Italy” on Rai 2 , at the finals of Sanremo Giovani and the collaborations, starting from the one with Dj Aladyn of Radio Deejay up to the one with the historical Italian punk band Punkreas.
The reflections that arose during the Covid-19 pandemic were fundamental. A complex period that has forced the world into a forced pause, where the unnatural silence of the cities has been filled by the deafening din of thoughts. It is certainly no coincidence that many of the songs that make up "TIME OUT" were born in that period. Raphael let himself be carried away by the need to tell the inevitable passage of time with different sounds and languages, the result of a renewed experiential baggage.
