Born in the UK and raised in Italy, Lion D is a rising star in the European reggae scene. His remarkable melodies and his conscious lyrics are captivating sound systems, radio DJ's and producers all over Europe and also in the USA.
'Heartical Soul' is the new upcoming album that Lion D recorded in 2014 at the Shengen Studio in Jamaica produced by the international reggae artist Alborosie.
"Heartical Luv" and'Ruff Inna Town (Bangarang) ' are the first singles with video.
Lion D tells us about his jamaican experience:
"Who could ever say I would find myself in Jamaica to produce music with one of the best Reggae singers in the world and Italian like me? He left his country to become an international singer and producer and I chose Jamaica to discover my roots through music. The outcome of this combination of energies originates this first video clip which takes us to the deepest heart of Kingston in Jamaica through pictures and images showing its inner heart unvaried through the course of time. 'Heartical Luv' is a song against any type of intolerance and racism and it fully shows how reggae has by far become a universal music, whose message goes beyond all barriers.'
He released three album: 'The Burnin Melody' in 2009, 'Reap What you Sow' in 2011 and Bring Back the Vibes' in 2013 a new roots reggae album containing the single"Nuh Ramp" in combination with Raggamuffin soldier Skarra Mucci, that istantly jumped at the top ten reggae charts in Germany, Spain, Holland, France, Uk. His 2013 single"Soundboy A Go Dead" and'Try Afta You' produced by French label Irie Ites, was very well received all over Europe and Usa.
His songs are written in Jamaican Patois and his conscious lyrics describe the world through music, using it as a way to denounce unjustice and to express his own spirituality. He has voiced all reggae styles, from sing-jaying to new roots to late dancehall and hip-hop.
His both American tour at the end of 2012 and in 2013 confirmed the power of his music and the quality of his live performances: his unique voice, style and energy on stage reveal that Lion D has a real talent, as promising as many great Jamaican artists. He has toured Italy, Europe and the USA performing in top live clubs and festivals and he is always engaged in an intense live activity both on track-show with Bizzarri Sound and backed by his Livity Band.
