This will be the band's third show only in Bristol. They recently supported Yes Sir Boss as part of the Chai Wallah's birthday bash and showed Bristol why this is the city for them.
Based in the outskirts of London, WATP are not a band bound by a particular location, yet they do have very strong links with Holland. They recently played Pinkpop and Paaspap and return frequently to Paradisio to packed out audiences. So they're doing something right in Holland, yet in the UK they are still working on building a strong following.
This will be their first headline show in Bristol. It's been a very long time coming so you can be sure you'll be attending a very special show. Catch them at the Attic before they go off to play Croissant Neuf, Boomtown, Greenman, and Shambala, probably all the best possible festivals to play this summer.
Will and the People are more than just a band. They are a way of life. Living, rehearsing, being together, who are on a journey beyond the realms of conventional popular music. They have percolated into the gaps of the live music scene in the UK with their own unique sound, honest and fresh.
The band have naturally created their vibrations through a shared vivacity for all types of music Though they will proudly state their main influence as being Bob Marley and his Wailers, the sound they make is thoroughly theirs, eloquently glistened and scattered with tones from many corners of song world.
With support from Bristol's very own high tempo reggae/hip-hop band, First Degree Burns, this promises to be a show to remember with both bands complementing each other's styles in their own distinctive way.
Beat Den have recently been added to the line-up. They mix old-school hip-hop with funk rhythms and are ones to watch as they're making their presence felt in Bristol.
