Mista Savona, is hailed as Australia's leading exponent of roots reggae and dancehall music, with major international releases under his belt and worldwide tours over the last decade including festival appearances at Glastonbury (UK), BOOM (Portugal), Fusion (Germany), No Logo (France), Boomtown (UK) and a fully televised headline concert at The Royal Albert Hall in London for the BBC Proms.
Savona’s groundbreaking project ‘Havana Meets Kingston’ sees him working alongside legendary Cuban & Jamaican musicians for a world-first music & film project set in Havana. The project features Sly & Robbie, members of Buena Vista Social Club, Los Van Van, Irakere, Ernest Ranglin & many more. Two albums have been released to worldwide critical acclaim, both being nominated
for ARIA’s as well as making many ‘top albums of the year’ lists. The albums present a unique concept, mixing Cuban & Jamaican musical styles and sung in both Spanish, English & Patois.
