Streets of Soul are proudly announcing a Super Sunday Session on 22nd March bringing together a super cool line up of International DJs for a Lowrider Soul Event. Headlining this, 2 of the most respected Rare Soul Vinyl DJs Anthony Perez and Stephanie Ramirez out of San Jose California, known as Flipside Lovers, who share a love of the "Oldies" sound, playing in demand sets across the world. Akro1, lifelong record collector from the heart of the Bay Area San Jose California, 1/2 of the DJ duo FlipSideLovers. Akro started in the early 1990s and collects all forms of classic and rare soul 45s from 60s-80s. Heavily influenced by Lowrider oldies and the west coast soul sound, playing across the board from sweet soul to steppers, boogie funk and modern soul. Ambitious0utsider is 1/2 of FlipsideLovers and is a proud Chicana from San Jose California. Stephanie has been collecting rare and classic soul since the early 2ks. Taking influence from California's strong history with soul oldies, Stephanie plays a mix spanning 60s-80s that have that west coast sound. She enjoys travelling to share her collection across England, Stockholm, France, Spain, Mexico and all around the United States. Alongside them, some of Europe's finest rare Soul vinyl selectors and champions of the "oldies" sound in this side of the pond. Out of Chicago roots, Lowrider culture and soul music are deeply interwoven through the low and slow cruising experience whilst listening to Slow Soul music. This music is centred on the slow-tempo ballads from the 1960s/70s, now frequently referred to as 'Souldies.' Later years we saw the rise of Boogie and Funk entering the scene, so DJs will be bringing all kinds of tricks in their box for this event.
