A event on Saturday 4th July. The event starts at 14:00.
Forest Bathing helps you connect with your senses through grounding invitations, encouraging your nervous system to slow down, notice how you are feeling in your body and mind, and consider your place within nature.
We will explore the wonderful woods at The Avon Centre, noticing everything that the summer sun offers u through sensory invitations. We may notice yellow-green leaves glimmering in the sunlight, birds and insects exploring the forest floor and the tree top canopies.
The art workshop that follows invites you to respond to the abundance of life you've noticed in the woods. We will celebrate the sun and the earth, and what they give to us during this season. Using clay you will craft a foraging bowl, a candle holder or perhaps sun goddess! There will also be an opportunity to participate in a large scale clay painting!
The workshop is set within the beautiful woodland at The Avon Centre, Bristol. There is a shelter if the weather is awful, but we will be embracing the elements as part of our experience!
* Please bring a water bottle, and let me know if any dietary requirements and health conditions before the session.*
Forest therapy has been proven to increase the NK cells needed to fight disease and improve mental health. Many find being in nature, especially amongst trees, helps reduce stress and anxiety. (More info on this on my Forest Therapy page https://www.charlottehawke.co.uk/foresttherapy).
Please wear good footwear, dress accordingly for the weather and bring waterproofs, in case it rains. 2pm - 5pm (3hrs)
How to find The Avon Centre: Car: Use address below. There is plenty of parking.
There is an entrance to the woods opposite the gravel car park. Head down the path- ahead you will see a fenced area with a gate - please meet me inside there.
There are toilets in the main building if you want to use them before the session. Head into the double doors, then take a left down the corridor and it is signposted.
