Juggenaught are a Birmingham based quartet, led by pianist Piera Onacko. Incorporating soundscapes and open passages with heavy grooves and structured basslines, the band bring avant-garde and experimental influences to a modern jazz setting. Following appearances including Lancaster, Moseley, Cheltenham and Marsden Jazz festivals, The Vortex, Matt and Phreds, Spice of Life, Symphony Hall and Hare and Hounds the band are continuing to make a name for themselves on the UK jazz scene.

Piera Onacko has previously been selected for the Jerwood Artist Encounters Program and Sound Generator Artist (2022), and has also had commissions performed at Manchester Jazz Festival and Snape Maltings. The group has worked with the B:music Women in jazz program which helps promote female jazz musicians in their musical and professional development and have also been partnered with Lancaster Jazz festival's artist development scheme.

"I have heard Juggenaught on several occasions and love both Piera's compositions and the way the band interacts with each other."
Tony Dudley-Evans, Jazzlines.

“This is a group with considerable promise.”
