CALCINE QUARTET // HALFTONE

8.30pm Monday 20th March at The Fringe

Freely Improvised Sonics - speaking more to emotion than specifics - for a Post-Truth age.

CALCINE QUARTET are

Matthew Grigg - Guitar, Amplifier

Rebecca Sneddon - Saxophones

Roger Telford - Drums, Percussion

with

Mark Langford - Bass Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone

Calcine Trio joined by Mark Langford, the triangle squared - reflected by a shift in designation. Compositions of spontaneous wail and whisper, crashing and floating through synergetic musical expressions

//

HALFTONE are

Hannah Marshall - Cello

Tina Hitchens - Flute

Yvonna Magda - Violin

Caitlin Alais Callahan - Double Bass

Ever-expanding sonic possibilities that push past the conventions of traditional instrument roles. Conscious or unconscious improvisatory responses generated by musical, and extra-musical, prompts and restraints.
