Al Swainger & Jon Clark present Pointless Beauty : Communion

Skillfully crafted cinematic fusion with Al Swainger - Bass, FX & Ableton / Jon Clark - Drums, FX & Looping and special guest Ana Gomez - Keyboards.

The sound of curiosity brings together this diverse combination of musicians with a shared love of acoustic & electronic grooves and soundscapes with improvised music.
Pointless Beauty : Communion invites you to share the creative voyage with us.

Al Swainger has been working under tha project title Pointless Beauty since 2014. Since then he has released four full length studio albums, plus a wide range of sattelite singles and live performances, with a fifth album (Hearts Full of Grace) due to be released in late Spring.

Jon Clark is a drummer, percussionist, sound designer and sometimes-cellist involved in an eclectic mixture of projects spanning a melting-pot of styles. As comfortable in samba as ambient soundscapes, rock or jazz fusion, Jon and Al have worked regularly together since 2017.

Ana Gomez is an established pianist on the Bristol scene working regularly with the Bristol European Jazz Ensemble. Unassuming and thoughtful she enhances any project she's involved with.
We're delighted to have her as part of the ensemble for the evening.
