Sylvie + Ursula

Bass player and winner of the BBC Young Jazz Musician 2024 Ursula Harrison and rising London-based vocalist and composer Sylvie Noble are releasing their debut duo album "New Eve" literally days before this gig. It seamlessly weaves between tales of disorder and defiance, grief and rebirth, through an intimate acoustic conversation between the voice and double bass. Combining raucous improvisation, deep grooves, and humorous interplay, New Eve provides a stripped down and deeply nostalgic glimpse into the human condition.

"The duo blew everybody away with the quality of their singing and playing, the intimacy & maturity of the performance, their almost telepathic rapport, and the sheer quality of their original songs...The release of the album will represent a major event in British jazz." - Ian Mann, TheJazzMann

"Sylvie is on her own path, with lots of imagination and beautiful sound." - Norma Winstone

"Sylvie and Ursula's forthcoming album should be a 2026 highlight." - Jon Turney, UK Jazz News

"A perfectly crafted duo set" - Ros Rigby, Jazzwise

Winner of BBC Young Jazz Musician 2024, Harrison is currently studying the European Jazz Master"s programme based in Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
