There’s a strong flavour of jazz-rock in Kenyan singer/songwriter /guitarist Vonj’s music, thanks to the multinational trio of jazzers behind him and his own nifty way with a plectrum. It’s a tightly built sound with plenty of freedom for sax and guitar and his original songs are at the heart.

Vonj is a self taught musician born in Kenya & currently active in the UK. Songwriting is his passion. He has endeavoured in a variety of musical projects working as an independent artist, producer & session player.
After Vonj released his 4th album ‘Ruach’, he began working on a new band project.

The band lineup consists of Vonj on guitar & vocals, David Farrell on drums, Jorge Fundo on bass, Djo Carpentier on Sax & Alex Alderson on keyboards. Together they create an electric groove driven sound, fusing together a variety of original musical elements.

*£6 after 9:30pm
