A gig held at The Canteen on Thursday 14th October. The event starts at 22:00.

Free entry!

The dazzlingly impressive Senagalese jazz pianist Ibou Tall takes the classic sounds of piano standards but without denying his African influences. He brings a rich and rhythmic Afro jazz fusion to original material and well known tunes. A night of “Senjazz” which is a musical concept inspired by the very rich Afro rhythms, sounds and culture from Ibou’s Senegalese roots, as well as the infinite world of jazz.

Ibou Tall was born in Dakar, Senegal. He joined singer Alioune Mbaye Nder’s band Le Setsima Group as a composer and band leader, leading to the release of 10 albums. Ibou Tall has performed at jazz and world music venues and festivals across UK, Europe, Scandinavia and North America. Ibou is joined by the equally brilliant Bristol based musicians – Carlo Fraccalvieri (sax) Martin Sean McConnell (guitar), Ben Hands (bass) and Paolo Adamo (drums).
