- Sunglasses After Dark Presents: - EVE APPLETON BAND (60s folk revival / Americana / alt folk) - Thursday 19th June - The Canteen - From 9:30pm - Free entry -●-●- -●-●- -●-●- Green Man Rising 2023’s crowned champions come with Bible-black parables, nursery rhymes and ballads, played against avant-garde acoustic band music. Having gathered a group of like-minded and talented cohorts, expect to hear echoes of 60s Folk Revival, Americana, and Alternative Folk. With Eve Appleton acting as main (but not only) songwriter with a cast of young but impressively sonically mature bandmates, Eve Appleton Band as a project has taken personal tales of hardship, glee and everything in between to a place of sonic excellence. After gigging and amassing an adoring audience of those who yearn for music nodding to the 60s folk revival, the band entered the Green Man Rising competition and turned up worthy champions opening the main stage on a rainy afternoon to a “a rain- soaked yet quickly charmed crowd” (NME). -●-●- -●-●- -●-●- Sunglasses After Dark Shady Bristol Gigs @sunglassesafterdarkbristol
