An irreverent bunch of Bristol rebels with a knack for raising hell with our fast folk shenanigans. Born from the legendary Golden Lion Sunday Sessions, this is raw, rowdy, foot stomping folk at its finest. Inspired by the punk folk rock of the Levellers, drawing on the outlaw spirit of Colter Wall and topped with a sprinkle of Stuff Smith fiddle wizardry, we blend hooky melodies with heartfelt lyrics and raucous rhythms to deliver fun-filled performances and whip up unrivalled energy in our adoring crowds. Pretend Friends is more than a band; we’re a community: a bunch of actual mates with an infectious camaraderie on a musical journey and we can't wait to make new friends along the way. If you want to sing stomp and party like there’s no tomorrow… join the wild ride and jump on the Pretend Friends bandwagon!

We're an official Independent Venue Week venue - as part of taking part we will be doing a suggested entry donation on the bar, which will go towards the band fee.

Please come and support independent venues!

Entry requirements: 18+
