Jack Challoner Quartet - Swing, Blues and Soul at The Canteen
See event details

A gig held at The Canteen on Wednesday 3rd June. The event starts at 20:30.

The Jack Challoner Quartet brings swing, blues and soul to the Great American Songbook. Fronted by Jack Challoner on vocals, piano and guitar, the group takes classic jazz and blues standards and infuses them with an irresistible, rhythmic groove built for the modern stage.

A St Werburghs local and longtime fixture of the Bristol music scene, Jack can swing like Satchmo and tug on your heart strings like Billie Holiday. His quartet will be filling the Canteen with jump jive blues, swinging, syncopated grooves, and even the occasional lush, soulful ballad.

For this lineup, Jack is backed by a fantastic rhythm and horn section: Adrian Smith on double bass, Craig Crofton on saxophone, and Richie Paradise on drums.

Entry requirements: 18+
