See event details

A event on Sunday 15th March. The event starts at 14:00.

Enjoy a creative, hands-on workshop where you’ll make and take home something truly special for a mum or mother figure in your life.

In this relaxed and welcoming session, you’ll learn how to hand-build your very own mug, guided step-by-step by the friendly team at The Community Pottery. Whether you’re a complete beginner or simply fancy trying something new, no experience is needed, just come along and enjoy the process.

Hosted by The Community Pottery:
This special workshop is hosted by the welcoming team at The Community Pottery, a Bristol-based ceramics studio dedicated to making clay accessible, inclusive and community-led. The session will take place at our studio in the community hub St Anne's House, a creative space that brings people together through arts and culture.

Price:
We have a three tier model, low income: £28, Standard £35, Supporter £40. We want to make our events as open as possible, so please do pay-what-you-can with the minimum being £28 to cover material and equipment costs.

Materials & Further Information:
All materials and tools are provided. After the workshop, your mug will be professionally fired and glazed, ready to collect from The Community Pottery a few weeks later.

You’re welcome to come by yourself or bring your mum, mother figure, grandparent or loved one — just be sure to book one space per person.

Age Guidance:
This workshop is suitable for ages 18+.

Refreshments:
There will be tea and biscuits available, as always. You’re very welcome to bring something along to share.
