A
gig
held at The Croft
on Saturday 11th January. The event starts at 19:00.
For our live event we have Lynks Afrikka leading the charge, bringing their unique brand of queer industrial punk-pop chaos and charisma to the backroom. Joining them will be Football FC, who's live shows are carving out a formidable reputation that is rapidly spreading much further than just the South West, and finally Social Contract who, fresh from supporting Do Nothing on their UK tour, will bring an element of sophistication to what has the potential to be an absolute powder keg of noise and flailing limbs.
Lynks Afrikka:
Not to be confused with the fragrance often found in possession of the popular kid in a year 10 changing room, Lynks Afrikka is far from your everyday scent.
Channeling an industrial sound, with outrageous costume, eclectic party vibes and satire ridden lyricism, Lynks Afrikka's live show is a spectacle that is impossible to do justice with words. There is also a rumour that they may be celebrating their birthday that weekend, so expect costume and exuberance to match...
Football FC:
Post punk hooligans Football FC bring a live show that channels rage and camaraderie in almost in equal measure. Spearheading the new wave of Bristol punk outfits on the heels of bands like Heavy Lungs, Football FC are very much on the rise. 'Warming up' for Lynks Afrikka in a manner akin to heating up your soup in blast furnace, it might be advisable to bring a change of clothes.
Social Contract:
A band we're extremely excited to be bringing down from the capital, Social Contract have a distinct sound that brings something a little bit different to our lineup. After a packed out performance at Simple Things and some big bookings already scheduled for 2020, we cant wait to see what they bring down on the 11th.
Finally hosting the evening and providing the soundtrack in-between acts will be The Milkshake Boys. Freaky selections and synth-laden treats abound, open your minds and your mouths.
