Bristol Bossman Borai has been knocking out peak-time bangers through the Higher Level Recs label since 2018 and with it coming dangerously close to 4 years old, it seems right to host their first Bristol club takeover.

For their inaugural party, they're giving a taste of the Club Glow collective as Borai invites long time friend and collaborator, LMajor, from London. Expect ’90s warehouse energy and euphoria from their unbridled love of golden era Rave, Hardcore and Jungle.

It doesn’t take long to notice Borai’s over-whelming passion for sound. The Bristol artist has been flinging himself into every possible avenue of musical activity since first being bitten by the jungle bug in the early 90s.

Outside of his studio endeavours, Borai has been DJing for more than 15 years, bringing an effusive energy to any number of styles from dancehall to dubstep through to house and of course his first love, jungle. This melting pot of inspirational reference points simmer into his creative DNA, equally fuelled by years spent working in record shops across Bristol.

One to watch in the breakbeat/rave revival sound, Louis 'LMajor' Major is no stranger to the slower side of chops and breaks, often infused with techno and garage sounds. His releases on labels such as WNCL Recordings , Club Glow, Ecstasy Garage Disco, Ritual Poison, Secret Rave are consistently played around the world by some of the world's top DJs who recognise his aptitude for producing some iconic breakbeat dance tracks. We can't wait to bring him over from London for a true rave rinseout.

Club Glow

What is ‘club glow’? Is it the pearlescent euphoria of the breakdown or the sweat-slicked inner peace you feel after a cathartic dancefloor workout? The retro-future surrealism of a party under UV light, or the funk that clings to the venue walls long after the lights come up? Everyone has their own definition, but what’s certain is it’s rooted in the energy flash of the rave. As a collective entity, the four-strong hit squad of Borai, Denham Audio, LMajor and Mani Festo are specifically equipped to deal with this feeling.
