Gotobeat is proud to bring you nobody's dad at The Croft, Bristol on Thursday 29th January as part of Independent Venue Week 2026.
Bristol’s Nobody’s Dad emerged in the early 2020s with a raw and gritty sound rooted in alt-rock. Consisting of Phoebe Stokes (vocals/guitar), Jules Allarton (bass/vocals), Rahul Hasler (drums) and Max Earl (lead guitar), the band’s distinctly shoegaze nature creates a unique blend of warm and nostalgic sounds which are effortlessly relatable and vividly eclectic. Taking their cues from The Breeders, Pixies , The Smashing Pumpkins and the rising British alternative scene, the group share real life experiences through their honest songwriting - weaving relationships, mental health, and coming of age in post 2020 Britain.
2024 saw the release of their debut single ‘Angel’ which earned the band a slot on the October edition of ‘Rough Trade Recommends’, casting them further into the heart of Bristol’s music scene. The band have only continued to thrive, having seen praise from respected tastemakers including Under The Radar and EARMILK, alongside airplay from John Kennedy on Radio X. With support slots for Kate Nash, Girl Scout and She’s In Parties already under their belt, Nobody’s Dad are quickly proving to be a promising and refreshing new sound as they break further onto the scene.
