A
clubnight
held at The Crown
on Saturday 14th September. The event starts at 23:00.
We thought it was about time we made our Crown debut...
...and who better to invite than the one and only Van Wilkins!
After releases on ec2a, Over & Out and Excess Bristol, Van has taken somewhat of a mini-hiatus from the touring circuit. We're over the moon to bring him to The Crown with what will be his first gig of 2024 and can't wait to hear what he's been cooking up so far this year. One of the most talented producers we've had through the VOID doors we wouldn't be foolish enough to confine him to genre boundaries. One thing's for sure though: his set's sure to be packed full of unreleased and upcoming heaters to keep the dancefloor bumpin'.
To warm things up we have Venetia May making her Bristol debut. Venetia has been making waves in London, crafting progressive sets that flow from chuggy techno to zippy electro. With acid undertones tying everything together, her atmospheric sets have a distinguishable sonic imprint that definitely has an element of the Bristol Sound.
And as if that wasn't already enough, in another first for the station we'll be showcasing a live set courtesy of Amphibious Man (Spirit of Sunday). We can't wait to hear what sounds he can squeeze out of his array of drum machines, synths and samplers. You can expect breakbeats and acid-tinged analogue bloopiness to get you moving. As much a feast for the eyes as it is for the ears!
We can't wait and hope you're as excited as we are. Get your tickets quick as they'll be selling like hot cakes once word gets out!
