A
gig
held at The Cube
on Friday 13th September. The event starts at 20:00.
PLAY MISTY is a folk / Americana trio based in Bristol, UK.
Their sound is built around luscious, warm three-part harmonies, intertwining acoustic guitars and soaring flute. Their original material takes inspiration from acts like John Prine, George Harrison, Bonnie Raitt and CSNY.
This will be a very special gig. Normally an acoustic trio, I-Sha-Vii, Ryan McMurtry, and Sophie Jones will be joined by a full band, featuring Dan Weltman on violin/mandolin, Joseph Trudgeon on double bass, and Max Harrison on drums.
This show will be the culmination of Play Misty's Summer tour promoting their new release, 'At the Cube'. The EP was recorded live at the Microplex, using grass roots venues funding from Arts Council England. Please come early and support the venue through purchases at the bar.
