THORNY w/ johnsmith / KosmoSuna / MUN SING / E B U

— The Cube
Amidst eternal darkness moonlight reveals all that you are and all that is missing.
price: Headfirst Tickets

THORNY are mincing back through the doors of Cube Microplex for a summer soirée of glamour and glitch, assembling a plethora of showstopping changemakers in performance and experimental sound, from Bristol and beyond. Gird up ya wedges and prepare to witness a sparkling show transform into dancefloor, clucking all the way from deep despair to elated euphoria.

Come ready, we're excited to see you again. ♥

♥ johnsmith ♥
johnsmith is a whatever being and the perpetually transforming drag persona of artist Eleanor Fogg. johnsmith is back at THORNY to present a mutant medley of lipsync, live music and drag metamorphosis. Each performance john makes crystallises one persona from many possibilities.

KosmoSuna is the electro pop brainchild of brothers Alexis and Lucien Daumerie, who join us from Lille, France.

“KosmoSuna means ‘Cosmos’ and ‘Suna’ (Japanese for Sand). Both of these elements represent for us, the idea of something intangible, ethereal or immaterial. The pure essence of our music is born from our lives, their subtleties, encounters, and all manner of experiences.”

Previously performing under the name Agatha, Bristol-based experimental artist MUN SING is making a debut at THORNY with a one-off performance, performing the identity change from AGATHA to MUN SING.

“Inspired by the politics and aesthetics of mainstream pop music, Mun Sing's high-energy performances focus on inclusivity within the current club scene, the devices used to separate 'artist' and 'audience', and the rising status of the DJ. LOSE YOURSELF 2 DANCE!”

♥ E B U ♥
Woozy and mesmeric music project from surreal sound maker Ella Roisin Payne. Prepare to be transported into E B U’s hypnotic world.

Delicious melodic spoken word from Bristol-based singer/poet.

♥ + guaranteed floorfillers from our fave Ms Midas ♥
