The Great Baldini (‘Emperor of Illusion’, ‘Prince of Prestidigitation’, and
‘Maharajah of Mystery’) is a magical legend, a music hall relict and an old
school theatrical performer. Baldini is a Magic Circle member and awardwinning member of Bristol Society of Magic and Wessex Magical Association.

Baldini is also the head of the shadowy and sinister ILLUSIONATI - a group
of elite magicians influencing the world through the use of magical dark
arts. In “Dirty Tricks” he reveals (and demonstrates) how the ILLUSIONATI
sell their magical services to the highest bidder, laundering money, rigging
elections and supporting both the KGB and the CIA in nefarious activities.
The next wholly (im)plausible (magical) conspiracy theory for the Internet.
Imagine Tommy Cooper meets Blofeld.

“Incredible” (Front Row, BBC Radio 4)
“Wonderful, a joy” (Pick of the Week, BBC Radio 4)
“Charming, engaging and charismatic. A pleasure.” (FringeReview)
“A seasoned professional, excellent command of the stage.” (Broadway Baby)

'F for Fake'

Director: Orson Welles Cast: Orson Welles, Oja Kodar, Elmyr de Hory, Clifford Irving, François Reichenbach France-Iran-West Germany 1975 | Colour | 88mins | Cert: PG

Trickery. Deceit. Magic. In F for Fake, a free-form sort-of documentary by Orson Welles, the legendary filmmaker (and self-described charlatan) gleefully re-engages with the central preoccupation of his career: the tenuous lines between illusion and truth, art and lies.

Beginning with portraits of the world-renowned art forger Elmyr de Hory and his equally devious biographer, Clifford Irving, Welles embarks on a dizzying journey that simultaneously exposes and revels in fakery and fakers of all stripes—not the least of whom is Welles himself.

Charming and inventive, F for Fake is both an inspired prank and a clever examination of the essential duplicity of cinema.
