Lara Jones + Echo Juliet + Harpoon

Lara Jones (member of J Frisco) is a saxophonist - both soloist and ensemble player - as well as improviser, composer & collaborator and now based in London. She creates immersive, meditative soundscapes with solo saxophone, field recordings and electronics.

Her debut album 'Ensō' was released last year with radio play on BBC Radio 3's 'Freeness' show. With an ever evolving sound, her new EP has a harder, more electronic style almost eschewing the saxophone for seat rumbling bass.

Supporting Lara we are pleased to host Echo Juliet (Emily Jones - Allison Recordings). An uplifting, downtempo set of live electronics and percussion drawing on jazz, soul, classical and electronica. Contemporary beats meet hypnotic loops, floating synths, harp, clarinet and organic sounds, all layered together using an electronic vibraphone and other live percussion instruments.

Kicking off proceedings are Harpoon. Improvised drum machine sequences vs secondhand FX pedals. Sometimes it goes right but most of the time it goes wrong, in the best way.
