A
gig
held at The Cube
on Friday 27th April. The event starts at 20:00.
An engaging showman and raconteur defying categorisation, Delaney's songs are dirty, lonesome, restless and wildly engrossing. Part wandering minstrel, part travelling salesman, he uses a guitar, a loop pedal, a harmonica and his voice to produce music variously described as'dark, haunted, whiskey-drenched, tobacco-stained vagabond folk' and'neo-blues, noir trash and avant rock'. If you weren't in the audience last time Delaney Davidson played the Cube then this stop on his tenth world tour is your chance to rectify the situation.
Not fit for innocent ears, the Five Whores of Winnipeg make slopsucking old-time filth from an assortment of folk instruments and vocal cords steeped in years of fishwifery and moonshine, and to round out the evening we have some dark and haunting tales from Saikat the Storyteller.
