Tough Sell x Bighead Comedy: Primal Bog by Rosa Garland + more at The Cube
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Taboos, desires and queer liberation… lubricated by an unholy quantity of goo! Experimental comedy meets bodily fluid performance art, deep in the recesses of the Primal Bog: after scrambling minds and pushing the limits of on-stage decency at the Fringe, Rosa Garland’s a shoe-in for a night of carnal Tough Sell x Cube clownery."

A event held at The Cube on Monday 27th July. The event starts at 19:45.

Having presented a mélange of experimental musics, film, performance art and dance, for the next instalment of Tough Sell we are proud as punch to be putting on a night of weird-as-fuck comic performance. Prepare your ponchos for Rosa Garland's Edinburgh Fringe smash-hit, Primal Bog: an excessively gunky, surprising and slippery fantasia on desire for the freaks and weirdos. With special guests doing some "tight 5"s.

ROSA GARLAND: PRIMAL BOG

Come into the bog; the mud’s just fine.

Primal Bog is the gorgeously gross new piece from Rosa Garland, creator of cult hit Trash Salad. Join Rosa as she plunges headfirst into the muck of sexuality, slime, and unfiltered desire that’s been hailed as “filthy and fearless” (The Telegraph) and “a masterclass in comedy” (Metro).

Like Jackass if Johnny Knoxville was Gwyneth Paltrow having a psychosexual fever dream, Primal Bog is “disgusting, daring and unlike anything else” (Fest) and a “thrilling showcase of comic fearlessness” (Chortle).

Already showered with acclaim, the show was featured in The New York Times’ 7 Buzziest Shows of the Fringe as well as winning one of The Skinny’s Besties Awards and being nominated for NextUp’s Biggest Award in Comedy and the Comedians’ Choice Award for Best Show. Rosa Garland is, in the words of Metro, a “supernova talent” and Primal Bog is her boldest, slimiest work yet.
