The Stallion + Céline Gillain at The Cube

A gig held at The Cube on Saturday 28th September. The event starts at 19:30.

THE STALLION

The duo of Ben Wallers (The Rebel) and Alastair Mackinven, both of the group Country Teasers, bring a rare performance of their severely mangled take on Waters era Pink Floyd to Bristol for the first time. The Stallion on stage is an EVENT, with curious props, inexplicable costume, mystifying footage of another universe and most importantly: cranium splitting, brain wasting music. This’ll be SOMETHING.

The triple LP ‘The Dark Side of The Wall’ was released In The Red Records in 2017.

CÉLINE GILLAIN

Céline Gillain is a musician, video and performance artist living in Brussels. Her work is a hybrid of corrupted pop songs, feminist sci-fi, story telling and dark humour.

After a debut single on mutant pop 7-inch imprint Lexi Disques, her debut LP ‘Bad Woman’ was released on Drama, a sub-label of Zaltan's Antinote Records, in December 2018.

(rosena) WENONOAH

Purveyor of abstracted - (sometimes pop) songs and lyrics of a intriguing and beguiling depth so rarely found, QWAK is truly delighted to have the evening kicking off with a live performance from Bristol’s own (rosena) WENONOAH. Whether performing as a duo, solo, acapella or with keyboard, Rosena’s performances are invariably nourishing and compelling. Be sure to arrive in time for this set.

QWAK club is a carefully curated night at the Cube Cinema bringing the outer reaches of sound, vision and performance together with a fun and inclusive atmosphere. Following the live performances, DJs and a dance party kick off in the Cube bar, continuing until late.
