Critically acclaimed artist, songwriter and producer Annie Gardiner celebrated the release of her second solo album, Sleeping Dogs, in 2025. Her music has been championed by BBC 6 Music, featured on the Freak Zone playlist, Adam Walton's BBC Radio Wales show, BBC Introducing and numerous other radio programmes nationally and internationally.

A Welsh-Scottish-Italian artist based in Bristol, Gardiner has built a diverse career spanning experimental songwriting, noise-rock, jazz-not-jazz, improvisation and electronic music. She gained a UK-wide underground following as the front person and bassist of noise-rock band Hysterical Injury, was one-third of Human Worth's post-rock outfit Olanza, and co-wrote and performed vocals on Run Logan Run's 2022 album Nature Will Take Care of You. Singles from the album received airplay on BBC 6 Music, Jamie Cullum's BBC Radio 2 show and Verity Sharpe's Late Junction on BBC Radio 3. In 2023, she joined Run Logan Run as a guest vocalist for their appearance on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury Festival.

A sought-after collaborator and improviser, Gardiner has performed on vocals, electronics and bass with artists including EP/64, Graham Costello & Run Logan Run, MXLX's ^—^, Jo Kelly, Carnivorous Plants, Zero Gravity Tea Party, Dan Johnson's Deep Listening Tour, Gallops, and in group performances with Maggie Nicols, Corey Mwamba and Yvonna Magda. As a lyricist and topline writer, she has worked with French electronic pop band The Penelopes on projects involving actors Isabelle Adjani, Lola Bessis, Virginie Ledoyen and Laura Smet.

Alongside her artistic practice, Gardiner works as a music producer at Studio B in J&J Studios, Bristol, and has spent more than twelve years teaching songwriting in higher education. She is a Senior Lecturer in Songwriting at BIMM University, specialising in composition and improvisation, and regularly delivers vocals and electronics workshops at dBs Music Institute.
