A
gig
held at The Cube
on Saturday 7th February. The event starts at 19:15.
Bristol label PLAQUE has been peddling the finest turnt-up sonics, blunted beats and forward-thinking dub-wise mechanics for just over half a decade – gathering a disparate, yet carefully-curated array of artists from the US, Germany, Hungary, France, Ireland and beyond. In its short lifespan, it’s already garnered ardent support from trusted tastemakers like Boomkat, The Wire Magazine, The Quietus, Honest Jon’s, Clone Records, Will Bankhead/Trilogy Tapes, and more.
On February 7 they’re collaborating with Music to Come and the Cube Microplex to bring for the first time to Bristol sound artist and founder of the KUMP and Meth.O.tapes labels - GIL.BARTE - with his live set packed with fugged-out offbeat industro-dub grubbers and other mystical hybrid forms ready to strike with venomous precision.
+ CONTENT PROVIDER performing live her debut album Endless Summer - a combination of heartsick broken beats and radioactive pop chansons to hold us through the apocalyptic heatwaves to come.
+ BIRTHMARK - sonically taking cues from 90's British Techno, Dub, J-Pop & David Lynch soundtracks conjured in a live set of released and unreleased jams for your mind and body.
+ YOKEL (DJ set) - infusing downtempo industrial, wrong speed new beat, no-wave nonsense and noise-fuelled rhythmics to freak out to. Don’t sleep!
